We look for highly motivated students with a solid scientific background in one of the following areas: engineering, physics, chemistry, materials science, and biological sciences. The Vecchio lab has highly interdisciplinary team with students coming various departments and graduate programs including:

• NanoEngineering

• Materials Science and Engineering

You may apply to any of these graduate programs for your PhD study.

Undergraduate Student Researcher

We always welcome outstanding undergraduate researchers to join our lab. The Vecchio lab has a group of dedicated undergraduate researchers working along with our postdocs and graduate students on cutting-edge research projects. In the end, many of our undergraduate researchers are co-authors of journal papers and they continue on to pursue graduate study at UCSD or in other top graduate programs. We are looking for undergraduate researchers in:

• NanoEngineering

• Materials Science and Engineering

• Mechanical Engineering
